In searching my name on Google, I was very surprised to find that I belong to the Harvard Club in Manhattan NY, I have run in a marathon (for the Olympic trials, no less!) and I have over 2000 friends on MySpace...not to shabby considering I do not have a MySpace page, couldn't run a city block and Harvard has never contacted me for dues! The scary part of this was that my address and phone number came up as the third result on my search...I think that this is an invasion of my privacy (it was posted on 'white pages' - it was not a result of anything that I had put on the Internet.)
Is there anything that can be done to close out something you do not want seen? Even if the website has permission of the 'phone company' - shouldn't they have to let me know that this was going to be posted for the masses???
I am cautious about anything that I put on any social networking or any other site, but apparently that does not matter in this day and age....

I always knew you were multi-facted...like a diamond...or salt block.
